And can I sound any more pathetically lame?

Filed under: General — kim @ 11:57 pm

I just read my last post. OMG… I sounded so pathetic and dorky. I’‘m 33. Not 15. LOL… and there I am all excited about seeing John Taylor from Duran Duran. Sometimes I can be a complete nerd about things. But at least this time, the dorkiness is justified. I mean, DAMN, it’’s JOHN TAYLOR from DURAN DURAN! lmao ;)

Forgot to post this…

OMG. I can’‘t believe I forgot to post this. I got tickets to see Duran Duran at the Palace Theatre on March 20 with three of my friends. We got pretty good seats (like Row W in the orchestra section—although not the orchestra pit, but oh well. Better than balcony). Woohoo! I’‘m so excited. I also got The new Duran Duran album with DVD and Duran Duran the singles 1986 – 1995 from Dave for Christmas. When I got the tickets (I ordered them online the minute they went on sale), I felt 15 again. LOL… I think Dave is glad I am going with my friends. Otherwise, he’‘d have to be there with me suffering through my teenage girl screams over John Taylor. This is the first time I’‘ve gotten to see the whole complete 5 member band. I got to see Power Station and Duran Duran when Andy and Roger had left. So this will be super cool. :D

I””ll be home for Christmas

Filed under: General — kim @ 9:22 pm

Our driveway is frozen under a layer of ice and about 9 inches of snow. Even the salt Dave threw on the driveway is frozen. We can’‘t get out. So even though the road is totally clear, we’‘re stuck at home. I’‘m hoping tomorrow things melt some. It’’s just not seeming like Christmas without going to see the family. I’‘ve been kinda bummed all day about it.

Zacky is here in his swing fussing. He actually slept for 6 hours straight last night. We’‘re hoping for a repeat. It felt damn good to have 6 hours of consecutive sleep. I haven’‘t slept like that in many months. But knowing him, it was a total fluke and not him finally learning to sleep for longer periods of time without needing massive food intake and diaper changes.

Hope you all get everything you want this holiday. :D

Happy Christmas

Filed under: General — kim @ 8:48 pm

Just a few more days until Zack’’s first Christmas. We haven’‘t bought him much (we’‘ve had to buy so much for him in the past month, and besides, he won’‘t know the difference yet). But it will be cool to celebrate as a family.

I’‘ve had to stop breastfeeding. I guess I could have tried harder, but he just ate so much all the time. I was so frustrated. For a few days, I felt like such a failure. I was truly dedicated to doing this. But it really is difficult to do. I’‘ve been officially bottle feeding him for a week now. He’’s still a little pig… he eats nearly constantly. He weighs over 11 lbs. now. He’’s a real chunk. lol

I had my 6 week OB check up. All is well. I am feeling back to my old self really. Which feels great. I have more energy and am enjoying getting out some. We left Zack at home with my parents on Saturday and went to his work holiday party. It was our first time out without him. It felt kinda weird at first, but then, we had fun. Monte Carlo night. Made me really miss our vacations to Las Vegas. I think it might be awhile until we get to go there again.

Also, my sister had her ultrasound yesterday. She’’s having a GIRL. We’‘re all so excited. My mom has 1 granddaughter and 5 grandsons. So it’’s about time we have another little girl to buy pretty things for. :D And it’’s cool that she’‘ll be close to Zack’’s age. I hope they get along. :)

Zachary is 1 month old!

Filed under: General — kim @ 1:52 pm

Zachary had is 1 month check up at the doctor today. He is now 10 lbs. 3 oz. and 20 1/2” in length. He’’s also healthy and alert. The doctor said he’’s doing great! He had to get a shot today, but he only cried for a few seconds and then calmed down. Poor thing. But he’’s really getting big now! I can tell he’’s heavier when I hold him!

On Sunday, we took Zack to my nephew Cameron’’s band concert. He slept through the whole thing. The loud crashes of cymbals, the marching band playing loudly, the stage band playing, the flag girls…. he was amazingly quiet the whole time. Woke up a couple of times when the crowd clapping and cheering startled him. lol… He is such a good baby! Noise doesn’‘t really bother him. As long as he’’s fed, he does great. :) We are so happy to have such a calm little boy. :D
