So I’‘ve not been blogging enough. Zack now has two teeth. He’’s still on his feeding/sleeping schedule. Which means, we don’‘t go anywhere anymore. We went to dinner on Wednesday night to Cheddars and he was kinda cranky by the time we left at almost 8 pm.
So it’’s Friday night and Dave and I are sitting here at home—not out seeing the new Hitchhiker’’s Guide movie like I’‘m sure all of our friends are doing tonight. We in fact, haven’‘t seen any of our friends in more than a week. Not that anyone is missing us, though. I think we slipped out of that “hang out with friends” mode awhile back because the phone has stopped ringing.
I’‘m still doing pretty good on my “diet” plan. I’‘ve gone down sizes and lost weight and feel more fit and toned. I think I’‘m looking better. I slip every now and then (gotta splurge sometimes, or I’‘ll totally lose it). But I’‘m trying to keep this up. I don’‘t want to ever go back to looking like I did in 2002. I think that was my all time high as far as weight.
I’‘m trying to get back into photography. I don’‘t get much time to go shoot anything though. I took some cool pics right after a thunderstorm last week. I posted them to our gallery if anyone’’s interested in seeing them. I also went to the Clark Homestead Cabin site here in Clarksville. I took some interesting pics of the cabin and the fence with the Louisville skyline behind it. Not amazing pics, but not bad. I might post some of those as well.
So that’’s what’’s been going on with me in a nutshell as of 10 pm on Friday, April 29.
Ok. The past 20 days in a nutshell: Zacky has been teething. He got his first tooth a week ago. Then, this week he’’s been extremely fussy. Last night he had a huge fit and didn’‘t sleep well. Today, he fussed and cried off and on all day. And this evening, I discovered a second tooth breaking through his gums—right next to the first tooth! Poor baby. But it’’s exciting that he’’s getting his teeth! We have him on a schedule now—he eats dinner at around 7 or 7:30, followed by a bottle and then to bed around 8 ish. And he sleeps all night. Which means Dave and I have more evening time “free” but we have to spend that time around the house. So no parties, hardly ever dinner, no real “going out” at night unless one of us stays home. We really need to find a babysitter that we are comfortable with other than my mom. But we still have issues leaving our baby. I mean, he’’s the only one we’‘ve got.
On Thursday I go to my yearly gyn exam, only to find out that the appointment I made back in January for Thursday, April 21—the one Dave stayed home to watch Zack for so I could go to the dr. by myself—was inadvertently cancelled by the nurse b/c she confused me with some chick named Kimberly May. No s on the end. WTF? Luckily, they squeezed me in, but I had to wait more than 2 hours to see the dr. And by that time, I was livid. I mean, the nurse apologized, but come on—when you are forced to make appointments that far in advance to guarantee you get the date you need/want, they shouldn’‘t be allowed to just go around deleting them from the books without a phone call to verify. Stupid Stupid nurse.
Other than that, my sister had a baby girl last week—Sydney Grace. She’’s adorable and healthy and both are doing great.
And tonight Dave and I watched Thunder on TV b/c the weather sucked (oh, and b/c Zack was in bed). And now Dave is playing video games. Woohoo.
That is all…
So Dave and I are sitting here watching an episode of the new Doctor Who. Cool show. Today we went to a nearby park (and were very disappointed b/c it was small and not very well kept up) and to Target. Then we came home and took turns mowing the yard with our lawn tractor. I’‘d never driven it before, so I got to do most of the mowing. I actually kinda liked it. It took me awhile to get used to driving it, but it wasn’‘t bad. I’‘m not too fond of hills, though. Feels like you should need a seatbelt on there.
I got a bit of sun today (which I needed b/c I haven’‘t been out in the sun in about a year). Zack’’s feeding schedule was kinda whacked b/c of the time change. I guess his body doesn’‘t realize the time difference yet. Luckily we got him in bed at 9 (formerly 8 pm). I just hope he sleeps all night and doesn’‘t wake up too early. It’’s been kind of hit or miss lately.
