Sunday morning

I''m awake here on Sunday morning. Zack got up early, had a bottle, played awhile, had some cereal... then fell back to sleep. Dave still hasn''t got up yet. So it''s kinda quiet. Today we are going to my cousin''s son''s graduation party. I can''t believe he''s already graduating high school. He went to Trinity. Seems like yesterday he was toddling around. I can only imagine how it''s going to be when Zacky graduates... I''ll be like... "where did the years go?"

Yesterday Dave and Zack and I went down to the Howard Steamboat museum''s Victorian Chautauqua--which apparently means something to do with entertainment in a tent... lol... still not sure. Anyway... there were craft booths, tours of the museum (which we didn''t go on), food booths, information booths about Jeffersonville, and even a man with a calliope and a battery powered dancing monkey. We visited the garden club booth and bought a couple of plants--I bought some fresh basil. We had a nice time overall. There was even a booth where they were pushing the use of more bamboo--they even had samples of clothing and other items made from bamboo.

I''m feeling kind of sleepy now. Must be the weather--it''s a bit overcast right at the moment. Maybe I should go back to bed too. I know later, I''ll wish I had... *yawn* ;)

He won””t nap (and other reasons why I””m going insane)

Dave has been in New Orleans since Sunday. Which has left me and Zack here together 24/7. I''ve been ok so far, but yesterday, he wouldn''t nap much. 20 minutes here, 15 there. He''s also started this bit where he will fall sleep in my lap, but as soon as I put him in his crib, he wakes up, flips over and starts playing--even though his eyes are so heavy he can hardly keep them open. Then today, he added a new twist of laying in bed, almost asleep, but flapping his legs and arms and screaming just to keep himself awake. He also fusses when I''m not within eye site. Or all out screams. Depending on which he decides will be more effective at the moment. I didn''t get to take a shower today until 6 pm (when he screamed so much, he actually fell asleep), but after my 10 minute shower, I found him in his bed screaming again. So it''s now almost 8 pm. He''s had his nightly cereal and part of a bottle. I held him and he fell asleep, so I attempted to put him in his crib... and you guessed it... screaming. So I brought him back into the living room. He''s now crawling behind the couch fussing the whole way. I pulled my back out on Monday and so picking him up and carrying him around has been kinda painful. And mentally, I''m exhausted. But I''m hanging in there. :)

Zack is 6 months, etc.

Well last Friday, Zack turned 6 months old. After John stopped by and showed Zack some crawling tips that evening, Zack started crawling on Saturday. :D On Monday, he had his 6 month doctor''s checkup. He is now 18 lbs. 14 oz. and is 27 1/2" tall. He''s getting into everything now. I can hardly keep him in one room. It''s funny that I now have to put him in the walker to keep him out of things. And he loves to follow Pebbles around. Poor Pebbles. ;)

Today is my nephew Cameron''s birthday. Happy Birthday Cameron! :)

Not much else is going on. Dave and Zack and I have all been congested and stuff. But it''s not been too bad. Wish I had something more exciting to post. Guess I don''t get out much lately. I could ramble on and on about TV shows I''ve watched, but I doubt anyone cares. lol

That is all for this post... Maybe next week will be more exciting. :D

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Not that I''ve ever really celebrated the holiday. But I''m thinking maybe we should cook up some festive food for dinner or something. I''d say go out for dinner, but geez... I''ll bet places will be crowded. Or maybe not. Today I''m planning on taking Zack to get his pictures made. I hope things go as planned. Sometimes he can get cranky or tired, though. Right now Zack is in his walker trying to ram the loveseat where Pebbles has taken refuge. He''s tried to run over her many times, and has actually rammed her with the walker several times as well. Poor Pebbles. :( Oh, and this Sunday is my first Mother''s Day. I''m very happy to be able to say that. It''s been a super long road, but the results have been worth it. :) Ok... off to feed Zack his nanners... bananas to you English speaking folks. :D
