Ok, I need people to help me stick to this... I've slacked on my weight loss for the past month. I have had back problems and lack of a stove made it difficult to cook from home much. But no more excuses. I need to exercise more and eat right. So beginning today! I am giving myself a month to lose 8 lbs. That's my goal. Let's see if I can get to it. I want to look better in my bathing suit when I'm on vacation.
Dave put in our new stove last night. And it all works great! I'm so happy! Our kitchen is about 1/3 finished. We didn't get as much done as we'd hoped by this weekend. But overall, we are very pleased with our progress.
Zack is getting tired. I think I'll see if he will go down for his nap now. And yay! the sun is out today and it's supposed to be nice and warm! woohoo!:D

I HATE cramps.
Ok... sorry about that. I hope no one is offended. I'm in grouchy mood. I'm slightly in pain. And I'm tired. And I ate too much at dinner. Other than that, it's been a fairly good day.
I got a lot of laundry done. I cleaned the kitchen and did a lot of painting (mostly trim work, but that's the part I hate to do, so it's good to get it over with). Zack and I had fun today. He wanted to use the swiffer, so I put a new pad thing on it and he swept the floor in every room. At one point, he grumbled and shoved me out of the way so he could swiffer the kitchen floor. He pays way too much attention to the way I do things. He mimics me and Dave a lot. LOL
For dinner, we went to Mai's Thai on 10th Street here in Jeffersonville with Holly, Keli, and Chili. We'd read a review that said it was really good, and so we thought we'd all take a chance. And what a surprise! The food was excellent. Even Keli enjoyed her Thai hot noodle dish. I tasted it--it was fairly spicy, but it tasted almost... fresh and clean. It had a slight lemony taste and a spiciness that I didn't mind. It did linger for awhile though. Even Chili was complimenting the chef's home made fish sauce. I'm thinking we'll all have to go back there again.
Later this week, the "Webhamster" family is coming to visit. We are so excited! We can't wait to see the new baby "webhamster" Isabel.
I've seen the pictures... but I'm sure she's much cuter in person!
Not much else is going on. Dave is scraping grout from the corners of the shower in our main bathroom at the moment. Our kitchen is coming along nicely--the flooring is finally finished. We're still waiting on the new stove top though. It will probably arrive tomorrow when I'm out. *sigh*

Yay... it's the weekend. Well, almost. It's not official until Dave gets home from work. I was super excited this morning because we were supposed to finally have our new stove (cooktop) delivered today. But the lady from the delivery company called a few minutes ago to explain that "they don't deliver to JEFFERSONVILLE, Indiana." Apparently the shipping label said "JEFFERSON" (which to my knowledge doesn't exist), and she got confused. So now they have to ship the cooktop down to Louisville (I think they were in Indy) and then from Louisville, someone will deliver it to us. *sigh* I'm wondering if maybe the label was truncated--a lot of them don't have enough spaces for all the letters of Jeffersonville. Oh well. She said it might get here Monday. Or Tuesday. Or Wednesday at the latest.
I was really looking forward to making breakfast this weekend. *sigh* Guess we'll either go out again, or have more cereal.
I am happy that the sun is out today. It's not much warmer, but at least it looks like it might be from my window.
I can't wait to get outside in warm weather and take Zack to the park.
Oh, and another thing to look forward to... we're going on VACATION to Myrtle Beach in May. yay... the beach! We're renting a condo that we got an awesome deal on. It's in a resort with pools and tons of other fun activities. This vacation should be more fun because Zack can stay up a little later than last year, and he really loved the pool, so I'm hoping he'll enjoy the pool and/or beach.

Our kitchen has always seemed dark and dingy to me. But last night, Dave (and I) got over half the new flooring down and WOW... it's a totally different room. It's not finished. But with the brighter, clean, light colored flooring... I nearly cried with joy when I stood back and looked at it last night. I can't wait to finish up the painting and get our new stove top in. I will want to be in there every day cooking and hanging out.
Today has been kind of grey and cloudy. I feel like I'm kind of dragging... maybe from sitting in the floor and ripping up floor tiles. I'm sore and tired. But it's a good tired.
Ok... gotta go, diaper duty. Ewwwwww.

Dave and I have ordered a new stove top for our kitchen. We also ripped out some cabinets and have repositioned our island. But for the next week or so, I have no stove. I have an oven. And a microwave. So I guess I can make do.
Not much going on right now. We had a big tree uproot itself in our front yard last Thursday night during the storm. It was the big spruce tree. It's currently laying across our front yard. Luckily, it didn't hit anything. But it was my favorite tree in our yard and it was so tall. We'll never be able to replace it with anything comparable. I'm sure it took years for it to grow that tall. It makes me sad to see it laying there, roots in the air.
The sun is finally peeking through the clouds. I'm kind of tired of the clouds and storms. But so goes the spring weather here in the Ohio valley.

So I found this cool site:
< a href="http://www.myheritage.com/">My Heritage
You can join (for free), then upload a pic of yourself, and facial recognition software will scan your image and tell you which celebrities you most resemble. After trying out 3 separate pics of myself, the following four names were in common: Mary Kate/Ashley Olsen, Katie Holmes, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Chaka Khan. I am not joking. lol... I really wonder about the authenticity of it, but... I can sort of in a very weird way see a sliver of resemblance among all of those people, and maybe myself. Funny stuff. You should try it out.
