Red Pencil Diaries

There is no excuse. lol I've been sort of busy. I've been writing these summaries as freelance work, and it's taken me some time to get into a routine. This week, I've had an additional writing project, too. So yeah, I have kind of been busy.

Last week we spent tons of time cleaning and preparing for our yearly Mardi Gras party. It was amazingly awesome with Karaoke (yeah, I didn't sing a note) and tons of drinks and good friends. This year, no puking! yay!

I've also had yet another virus. That makes five that I've had since Thanksgiving. I'm so freaking tired of being sick. It's unbelievable. Two of the viruses ended up going into sinus infections, so I was on antibiotics twice. This week, I'm still coughing and have a stuffy nose. But at least I'm not too worn down.

I cannot wait for spring. I want to be well and out in the sunshine soon!

Lola. She's become a Chatty Cathy. She talks so much. And the other day, she said her first sentence! We were at the breakfast table, all half asleep enjoying our cereal. Out of the blue, Dave... passed gas. And for a second, no one said anything. But then, of course, Lola giggled and then announced: "Daddy, you farted!" Which of course sent us all into fits of laughter. Her first full sentence!
